India Leading The World In Covid Vaccine Also Giving Away Free Vaccine Aid To Other Countries

 Here is a quick video from India. 
This is WION TV so there is some flag waving and the India-China rivalry is also played up but n'theless the information on their vaccines is worth listening to.
How come we have not negotiated for any vaccines from India? India is right next door and they are the world's largest producers of the Covid 19 vaccines.

India was badly hit by the Covid19 pandemic. With over 10 million cases India is second only to the USA (which has over 25 million cases and over 4,000 daily deaths). 
India has a population of over 1.3 Billion people. The cases peaked in September 2020 and the numbers have dropped drastically in India since then. 






On December 18th 2020 total cases peaked at just over 10.0 million. 
On January 20, 2021 the numbers have stabilised at 10.6 million total cases.
On September 17, 2020 new infections peaked at 96,000 new cases
By January 21st, 2021 there were 14,000 new cases.
On September 19th 2020 there were 1.0m active cases (infected people)
By January 22, 2021 active cases dropped to 187,000 people.
Daily deaths have decreased from a high of 1,300 in Sept 2020 to 154 deaths in January 2021.
Again considering the geographical vastness of India and its 1.3 billion population the infections have decreased substantially. 
The Indian Covishield vaccine costs US$6 (about RM24.00). This is 1/5th the price of the Moderna vaccine. 





How come we have not negotiated for any vaccines from India? India is right next door and they are the world's largest producers of the Covid 19 vaccines.
