I May Be Outspoken But I Am No Azmin Ali Rafizi Tells Anwar
Newly-minted PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli today assured that he will never backstab party president Anwar Ibrahim, adding that he is not Azmin Ali.
In his winding speech at the PKR National Congress in Shah Alam, Selangor today, Rafizi said he may not know how to sweet talk and can be very strong in his criticisms, but he means well for the party.
"I want to say this to saudara Anwar, that I may be 'lantang' (outspoken), but I am no Azmin Ali," he said, referring to the former PKR deputy president who led a mass exodus from the party in 2020.
Azmin was also one of the engineers of the Sheraton Move political coup in 2020, which caused the collapse of the then Pakatan Harapan federal government.
Rafizi said he didn't join politics and PKR to get positions, but hopes that he can be free to speak his mind.
According to him, he was unlike Azmin who promised many things to Anwar but ended up betraying the PKR president.
"Dear party president, I am not the type of person who can sweet talk in front of you, but then stab you in the back.

"I may not sing praises for you, put you on a pedestal. But I hope that I am judged from my consistency in working for the party," he said.
Rafizi was referring to Azmin's speech in 2011, who said that PKR would break into prison to save Anwar if the latter was put in jail.
