Holiday Reading A Revisionist View Of History
Here are somethings floating around on the Internet. The first picture here is an ancient clay tablet written in Greek - it is a signboard made from baked clay - found at a place called Hammat Gader in Palestine. This tablet bears the date 42 AH of the Arabic calendar. It corresponds to 663 AD.

The Greek tablet is transcribed again here for clarity:

Underlined in red in the next picture it says: In the days of the servant of God Muʿāwiya (abdalla Maavia), the commander of the faithful (amēra almoumenēn)

The full translation of the inscription is: In the days of the servant of God Muʿāwiya (abdalla Maavia), the commander of the faithful (amēra almoumenēn) the hot baths of the people there were saved and rebuilt by ʿAbd Allāh son of Abū Hāshim (Abouasemou), the governor, on the fifth of the month of December, on the second day (of the week), in the 6th year of the indiction, in the year 726 of the colony, according to the Arabs (kata Arabas) the 42nd year, for the healing of the sick, under the care of Ioannes, the official of Gadara.
Here is the Greek alphabet which you can actually use to transcribe the Greek tablet above.

Next up is a 55 minute video by Monsieur Odone La Fontaine. This is a revisionist view of history. Fell free to refute, critique etc.
The views expressed are those of the writer and do not necessarily reflect those of MMKtT.
