Harapan S Mb Candidate Is Not A Priority Johor Pkr Chief

JOHOR POLLS | Announcing a menteri besar candidate is not a priority for Pakatan Harapan, Johor PKR chief Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh declared.
"We have not had any discussion about a Harapan menteri besar candidate - it is not that I want to conceal it - but there is none.
"There have been no negotiations or discussions. For me, it is not a priority. We can strategise at the Harapan level by holding a discussion, but there is none. So, clearly, it is not a priority," he told journalists after a PKR ceramah in the Johor state constituency of Gambir last night.
The priority, Syed Ibrahim (above), said is to first ensure that the Harapan election candidates win in the election.
Earlier in the day, PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, during a visit to Segamat said there had been some preliminary discussion on a menteri besar candidate although there had not been an official discussion at the Harapan level.
He added that any announcement was only likely to be made if Harapan wins the Johor state election.
Asked about PKR's Maszlee Malik's name being floated as a potential menteri besar candidate, Syed Ibrahim said it was just media speculation. Maszlee is contesting in Layang-layang.

"Full stop! Our focus is on the people's agenda," Syed Ibrahim added.
Key PKR leaders were mobilised in Gambir last night to assist their candidate Naim Jusri.
Naim is facing BN's Shah Rihan Ghani, PN's Mohd Solihan Badri and Pejuang's Suraya Sulaiman.
The seat's incumbent is Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin, who is not defending the seat.
Among the leaders present were Anwar, PKR information chief Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin and Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun. - Mkini
