Hamzah Denies Plot To Oust Muhyiddin As Pn Bersatu Leader

PN and Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia deputy leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin has denied any plot to remove Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the opposition coalition’s leader.

In an interview with Mingguan Malaysia, he dismissed the rumours as “baseless gossip” spread by outsiders to divide PN.
Hamzah said he maintains a close relationship with Muhyiddin and that no discussions on succession have taken place.
“To me, it’s just baseless gossip from outsiders trying to divide us. That’s all,” he said.

“Who’s trying to remove whom? If someone were trying to oust him, I would be the first to know. But I am not aware of anything.
“People say Muhyiddin is being pushed out, yet no one has said anything to me,” he said.
He added it would be foolish for anyone to plan such a move without discussing the succession plan with him.
“If someone did try and I said I wasn’t interested, then what? What would happen? It would be foolish for anyone to act alone without discussing who is supposed to take over,” he said.
Hamzah viewed the rumours as evidence of PN’s growing public influence, asserting the coalition’s strength and dismissing any internal conflict. He added that those spreading the rumours are not PN members.
“The ones spreading these stories aren’t even members. Sometimes even party members are left wondering — who said this? Who started this rumour?” he said. —  Focus Malaysia
