Closure Notice Posted On Door Sim Rebukes Pas Leader
Human Resources Minister Steven Sim has taken a swipe at Sungai Buloh PAS division chief Zaharudin Muhammad, who accused the DAP leader of defamation.
ADSThe Bukit Mertajam MP, in a video on Facebook, rebuked Zaharudin for allegedly trying to create a “malicious perception” by raising the issue of his service centre’s closure.
He explained that his Bukit Mertajam service centre was closed because his staff attended his grandfather’s funeral, adding that a notice about the closure was posted on the main door.
“Yesterday, on July 3, a PAS leader came from afar to visit my service centre in Bukit Mertajam. That’s not a problem.
“I always welcome everyone who wants to visit my office, regardless of race, religion, or political party. Previously, members of his own party had come to seek assistance from my office.
“But what’s questionable is that the PAS leader claimed he came twice that day, at 3.30pm and 5.15pm, but found the office closed - as if trying to create the perception that my service centre isn’t operating,” he said.

Sungai Buloh PAS division chief Zaharudin Muhammad holding a letter of demand meant for Human Resources Minister Steven SimSim stated his staff had already put up a notice informing that the service centre would be closed on July 3, with four phone numbers also listed on the notice for any emergencies.
“Therefore, the PAS leader’s actions either show that he can’t read Malay or that he deliberately wanted to create a malicious perception,” Sim said in a statement on Facebook today.
Letter of demand
Earlier, Malaysiakini reported that Zaharudin had initiated legal action against Sim over claims that the DAP leader had defamed him.
In a short video uploaded to his Facebook account, Zaharudin - who is also the son-in-law of PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang - demanded an apology from Sim for allegedly insulting armed forces officers recently.
The video was recorded yesterday evening when Zaharudin visited Sim’s service centre in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, to deliver a letter of demand (LOD).
However, the service centre was closed, and Zaharudin was unable to hand over the letter to Sim’s staff.
ADSExploiting tragedy
Sim today criticised Zaharudin for exploiting his family tragedy for political gain.
“At a time when my family was grieving the loss of our beloved grandfather, the PAS leader took the opportunity to play politics.

An armed forces ceremony to promote Johnny Lim from major general to lieutenant general“However, this is not the first time he has tried to create false perceptions.
“Previously, he uploaded a photo of Johnny Lim’s appointment as lieutenant general and stirred racial provocation, suggesting that one day a Chinese person might become Malaysia’s prime minister,” he said.
Sim also responded to Zaharudin’s demand for an apology with a pantun, and reiterated his readiness to face a court battle despite not finding any LOD left behind. - FMT
