Hadi Had Another Event Tuan Ibrahim On Muhyiddin Meeting No Show

Abdul Hadi Awang was absent from the meeting conducted by Muhyiddin Yassin with other opposition parties as the PAS president had to attend another programme, said his deputy, Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.
Nevertheless, the Kubang Kerian MP said that the proposals submitted during the meeting will be deliberated at the Perikatan Nasional supreme council meeting.
“Coincidentally, the president (Hadi) had to attend a programme which he was invited to much earlier,” he told Malaysiakini briefly today.
However, it is unclear why Hadi did not send a representative to the meeting.
ADSYesterday, Muhyiddin, who is also the PN chairperson, announced that he held talks with several opposition parties on the possibility of forming a united front over issues affecting national and public interest.
Apart from the top leaders of Gerakan, Malaysian Indian People’s Party, Pejuang, and Urimai, the meeting was also attended by PSM deputy chairperson S Arutchelvan and Muda acting president Amira Aisya Abd Aziz.

Earlier, PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden said he was not informed of the meeting but opined the party’s top leadership may be aware of it.
‘Understandable absence’
On a related matter, Bersatu information chief Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz said PAS was invited to the meeting, but he understood why the Islamist party did not send a representative.
“Since it was an informal and non-binding meeting, PAS’ absence is understandable, especially after the party had just organised a huge event in Alor Setar,” he said.
PAS president Abdul Hadi AwangFaisal was referring to the “Himpunan Mandat Negarawan” event on July 17, which was also attended by former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
“Besides, as mentioned by Muhyiddin, the feedback from the meeting will be discussed and decided during the PN supreme council meeting,” he added. - Mkini
