Govt Told To Show Scores Of Super Ministers After Given Flying Colours Pass

Iskandar Puteri MP Lim Kit Siang wants the government to reveal the individual score of each minister in their 100-day report card.
This was after Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob gave his government a pass with flying colours, assigning a score of 90 out of 100.
"Malaysia must have super ministers that the cabinet could get 90 percent score from Ismail Sabri for their 100-day performance.
"If 15 of the ministers scored at least 80 points, it would mean that at least 15 of the ministers must score the full point of 100 percent. Is this humanly possible?" Lim asked in a statement.
As such, he said Ismail Sabri should disclose the exact score of each ministry.
Lim claimed that the ministers were not known for their "superintelligence" and some had even declared they hit their 100-day target before the 100-day mark.
"The onus of proof is on Ismail Sabri to prove that he does not simply use an arbitrary figure which has no basis whatsoever," he said.
Lim noted that Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, too, had declared that his ministry had met its 100-day target, but external reports do not paint a rosy picture.
"I need only to refer to the Transparency International Government Defence Integrity Index Report on Malaysia, which reported: 'Malaysia faces high corruption risk in its defence sector. Parliamentary oversight is nascent and weak, financial scrutiny is limited by excessive secrecy, while procurement is vulnerable to powerful interests both foreign and domestic that diminish institutional resilience to corruption. Finally, risks are critical in terms of military operations.'
