Finally, guys! Hari ni lah last day of school for 2025! 🎉 
Seriously, at first I thought of giving the boys an early holiday, but you know how it is—ada persembahan lah, jamuan kelas lah, ambil hadiah lah. Tak sampai hati pula nak bagi diorang miss the fun. And the highlight of the week? My boys, Adam and Iman, had their Majlis Khatam Al-Quran, again. Previous years, I didn't do, bring or give anything like this; donate duit jelah and honestly, I was a bit lost. 
Growing up, I wasn't really exposed to the whole "cultural-ish" thing. I know people usually do Pulut Kuning, but when the teacher asked for Bunga Pahar, I was like... "Wait, is that the same as Bunga Manggar?" 😂
Thank God for my SME (read: subject matter expert), one of my friend Kak Zura saved the day. I ended up DIY-ing my own version of Bunga Pahar—next year Adam dah tak sekolah rendah, so I had to make it special


Holiday Prep: The "Hungry Monster" Season is Coming! 🍟
With the kids home for the next few weeks, I’m gearing up for a major grocery run this weekend. As a working mom who has to save all my Annual Leave for Jan, I need to be strategic; masak lauk banyak-banyak and freeze them, beli lots of snacks because these boys eat like they have a second stomach #iykyk. Last but not least, even though it’s holidays, I’ve got their "indoor survival kit" ready—Chess, Scrabble, and even some online classes for AI and Coding Biar diorang productive sikit, taklah asyik mengadap screen ja. Buku latihan pun kita beli


Last but not least, they worked so hard this year. Good results, good manners... mama is proud. We definitely need a little treat

Keeping It Real: The Court Battle
On a serious note... this Monday is my court date. Finally. I’ve been back and forth to the office for years regarding this Nafkah Anak issue. The truth is, their dad hasn't paid a cent for years. It’s not that I’m hamak for the money, but it’s the kids' rights. He owes it to them. Period

Going through this legal process has been an eye-opener. No wonder some moms just give up. It takes so much time, energy, and money just to get what is rightfully yours; juggling with work and kids some more. Meanwhile, the men? Relax je, lepas tangan. And yet, society somehow always finds a way to blame the woman. 🙄
I pernah je kena: "Kalau suami tak provide, kenapa beranak ramai-ramai?"

Let’s be real—some men nowadays expect a "submissive" woman but they don't provide the environment to make her feel safe or cared for. Instead of bringing peace, they bring stress and depression. Honestly, the world is full of "mommy’s boys" who need therapy, not a wife. Duh. 
Between spring cleaning, grocery runs, and prepping for court, my weight has been like a yoyo lately. Hormonal? Stress? Who knows. But we keep moving

I’ve been raising my boys alone for years without a helper. It’s tough, and no, I’m not "strong." I’ve been hospitalized several times this past year because the stress and exhaustion finally took a toll on my body. It’s messy, but life moves forward. This journey has taught me one thing: "Cukuplah Allah menjadi penolong bagi kami dan Allah adalah sebaik-baik pelindung."
