Final Report On Wangsa Maju Apartment Project Ready In 2 Weeks Says Developer

PETALING JAYA: The final report of the J Satine development project in Wangsa Maju will be submitted to Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) within the next two weeks, says its developer, Gandingan Jakel.
DBKL said yesterday construction work at the apartment block can only resume after it is satisfied with the reports to be submitted by engineers.
An interim report from independent engineers was submitted on Dec 30, but the mayor found it lacking in detailed analysis and failing to meet the required standards.
In a statement today, Gandingan Jakel said it promptly submitted an interim structural integrity report following an explosion incident at the site last November.
“Since then, we have provided multiple reports with detailed technical information as requested.
“After our latest meeting with DBKL, our team is now working to compile and submit a final comprehensive report, which we expect to deliver within the next two weeks,” it said.
It also said it maintained close coordination with DBKL throughout the construction of the project, ensuring swift response to documentation and report requests.
“While we are eager to share updates, we must align our communications with DBKL’s guidelines to preserve the integrity of ongoing evaluations,” it said.
“We remain confident that our diligent compliance and timely response to DBKL’s requirements will facilitate the swift resumption of construction and remedial works.”
A stop-work order was slapped on construction of Block C of the apartment project following an explosion at the site in November last year.
Residents of the nearby Wangsa Sari People’s Housing Project had filed complaints with DBKL over the incident, purportedly due to a structural failure at the construction site. - FMT
