Fadhlina Rebukes Rafizi Over Ministerial Track Record Jab
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek retaliated against fellow PKR MP Rafizi Ramli for criticising her seeming lack of achievements since taking the post.
The PKR Women chief pointed out that major policy decisions were discussed at cabinet meetings, which Rafizi would have attended before he resigned from his economy minister post.
“We have already tabled the major policy matters, including reforms we want to carry out.
“So there’s no such thing as us not doing anything, because everything has already been discussed at the cabinet meetings,” she said to reporters at an event in Selayang today, as reported by Free Malaysia Today.
Last Friday (June 21), Rafizi launched his “Yang Berhenti Menteri” podcast, during which he directed critics to not only scrutinise the Economy Ministry but also question Fadhlina on her achievements in the Education Ministry.
He said he managed to push through several key initiatives while heading the Economy Ministry, and that the 13th Malaysia Plan and Anti-Rent Seeking (Anti-Ali Baba) Act were the only matters he did not see through completely.
Rafizi’s ministerial resignation came after he was unseated as the PKR deputy president by Nurul Izzah, daughter of Prime Minister and PKR president Anwar Ibrahim.
Before the party election, he vowed to resign from the cabinet if he failed to defend his post.
His resignation was followed by Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, who resigned as the natural resources and environmental sustainability minister after failing to defend his division chief and vice-president post. - Mkini
