Era Fm Djs Apologise At Batu Caves In Bid To Cool Tempers
Three Era FM announcers have apologised at the Batu Caves temple complex for their antics mocking the Thaipusam kavadi ritual.
“From our side, Datuk, we truly… we are sorry,” said radio announcer Nabil Ahmad to temple committee member Sivakumar Nadarajah in a video the latter posted on his Instagram account yesterday.
“I hope this video can make everybody, like, cool a bit lah,” Nabil said in a later part of the video.
Nabil was accompanied by fellow DJs Azad Jasmin and Radin Amir Affendy.

The MIC treasurer-general pointed out that the issue has gone public, and the authorities were involved.
“We could forgive you on human ethics grounds, but action must be taken that will send a clear message,” Sivakumar added.
Offensive viral clip
Previously, a video went viral on social media showing several Era FM staff mocking the kavadi ritual – a ritual that the Batu Caves temple is famous for.
Nabil, Azad, and Radin have since apologised in a video posted on social media, while Era FM said it has suspended the hosts and two other staff pending an investigation.
