Emco At 8 Locations End Today
-NSTP file picKUALA LUMPUR: The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) at eight locations, including three in Selangor, came to an end today.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the EMCO directives that ended today in Selangor were at Taman Murni in Sepang; Pangsapuri Sri Ayu, Seksyen 4, Bandar Baru Bangi, Hulu Langat; and, CLQ Johan Setia, Kampung Johan Setia, Klang.
The others, he said, were at Kampung Tematu in Jalan Batu Kitang, Kuching; Kampung Linukaan in Kota Marudu; Rumah Pekerja Ladang Sungai Balung in Tawau; the Bata factory quarters in Kampung Durok, Kampung Limbawan Sayur in Keningau; and, another three spots within Kudat.
Meanwhile, the EMCO will be imposed in another seven locations nationwide.
Among these are Felda Lembah Klau, Mukim Gali in Raub; Kampung Kendaie and Kampung Bukit Batu, Lundu, Kuching; Felda Maokil in Muar; Taman Muhibbah Fasa 1,2 and 3, Beaufort.
In Sabah, the EMCO will also be enforced in Keningau in Kampung Patikang Ulu and its surrounding areas, including the Focus Lumber factory and quarters, the Veracity factory and quarters, the Hasil Jadi factory and quarters, Pusat Memandu IDA and the nearby Indonesian settlement.
"These new EMCO directives will commence July 14 for an estimated two weeks until July 27.
"Two separate locations, which were previously placed under the EMCO in Selangor and Pahang, and which have seen a surged in Covid-19 cases, will see their EMCO directives extended until July 19 and July 27, respectively.
"These two locations are CLQ Gamuda Garden, Kundang Jaya, Rawang in Selangor; and Flat Taman Benus Jaya, Bentong in Pahang," he said.
