Emco At 24 Localities In Four States From July 18 Dpm
Fourteen localities in Pahang, four in Selangor and three each in Sabah and Sarawak, will be placed under the enhanced movement control order (MCO) from July 18 to 31, said Deputy Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
In a statement on the development of the National Recovery Plan and enhanced MCO today, he said the enhanced MCO in Pahang involved 13 localities in Kuantan, namely, Tanjung Lumpur, Peramu, Anak Air, Sungai Derhaka, Kempadang, Sungai Soi and Kampung Pahang.
Other localities are Taman Seri Inderapura, Taman Indera Sempurna, Taman Tas and Pandan, Sungai Isap, Lorong Seri Teruntum and Taman Impianku, while in Temerloh it involves Taman Chengal.
In Selangor, it will be imposed at Damai Apartment, PJS 8 Damansara in Petaling; Jalan Pandan Indah, Ampang (Hulu Langat); Jalan Batu Nilam, Bandar Bukit Tinggi (Klang) and Taman Samudera in Batu (Gombak).
“The enhanced MCO in Sabah includes KLK Lungmanis Oil Palm Plantation and its factory housing, in Silabukan, Lahad Datu; Kampung Pinolobuh Bukid (Kota Belud); Taman Ehsan PPR (Kudat); while in Kuching, Sarawak, the move involves Kampung Seratau, Kampung Astana Lot and Kampung Sungai Bedil Besar,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ismail said, the enhanced MCO at Kampung Siasai Dundau in Kota Belud and Kampung Naruntung in Pitas, Sabah, scheduled to end tomorrow, has been extended from Sunday (July 18) to July 31.
The enhanced MCO in five localities will end tomorrow, namely, Kilang Jimat Jaya Sdn Bhd, Bukit Makmur Light Industrial Area and workers' hostel in Kuala Muda, Kedah; Taman Nagasari, Seberang Perai Tengah (Penang) as well as Kampung Pantai Emas in Kota Belud, Kampung Iban Kuala Nansang in Tawau and Kampung Babagon in Penampang, Sabah.
Th enhanced MCO in Taman Desaria, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, will be lifted this Sunday, he said.
On NRP's standard operating procedures (SOPs) compliance operations, the defence minister said 65 premises, comprising factories, business premises and construction sites were ordered to close today, for failing to comply with the SOPs.
Apart from that, he said, a total of 416 individuals were arrested yesterday for violating the SOPs with 404 of them were compounded while 12 others were remanded. During the ‘Op Benteng’ operations, 57 undocumented migrants were arrested, and nine land vehicles were seized.
“The government has always implemented strict SOPs enforcement measures and will not compromise if there is a violation of directives and SOPs because the priority now is the safety and well-being of the people,” he said.
