Eight Other Pas Leaders Under Macc Radar Over Rm90m Probe

The MACC's investigation into the allegation that PAS received RM90 million from Umno will see at least eight other PAS leaders being quizzed

"MACC started the questioning session with Nasharuddin (Mat Isa) and Nik Abduh (Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz). At least eight other PAS leaders will be called up," a MACC source told Malaysiakini
The source, however, stopped short of naming the said leaders
"Three of them are PAS central committee members, two are Syura council members, one from the Kelantan state government, another from the PAS Youth wing, and one more, from Pahang PAS
"Out of the eight, two are MPs," added the source
However, the source stressed that not all eight individuals are being probed for misusing the funds
"Some of them are called to assist investigations."Earlier today, MACC questioned several current and former PAS leaders, regarding the RM90 million matter
Those quizzed include former PAS deputy president Nasharuddin Mat Isa in Putrajaya, and Bachok MP and PAS central committee member Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz in Kota Bharu, Kelantan
Former PAS vice-president Husam Musa is also expected to be called for questioning
MACC's investigation into the RM90 million allegation comes in the wake of PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang's agreement to an out-of-court settlement of a defamation suit filed in London against Sarawak Report.The website suggested that the Islamist party received the colossal sum from former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak. Both PAS and Najib have denied the allegation
The settlement was reached through a consent order dated Feb 1 at the London High Court of Justice, but the removal of the said article does not seem to be a term of the settlement, as it remains online, unaltered and unretracted. - Mkini
