Double Murder Probe In Guar Chempedak After Man And Woman Discovered With Multiple Stab Wounds

According to Berita Harian, Yan district police chief, Superintendent Mohd Hamizi Abdullah, said officers received a call about the incident at 9.40pm yesterday.
The national daily reported that the victims were identified as a 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman.
The woman’s body was discovered inside a Proton Wira parked in front of a house, while the man was found lying on a road within the housing estate with multiple stab wounds.
“The injuries are believed to have been caused by a sharp object,” Mohd Hamizi said at the scene in the early hours of Friday.
“The case is still under investigation, including how the events unfolded and led to their deaths.”
Police are looking into the relationship between the two victims. The man is believed to be from Yan and the woman from Sungai Petani.
“We are still investigating their movements before the incident and the possible motive.
“The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder,” Mohd Hamizi reportedly said, adding that no arrests had been made so far.
The bodies were sent to the forensics department at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar for further examination. - malaymail
