Deceased Doctor Didn T Die Of Fatigue From Covid Duties Says Wife

The wife of a Covid-19 frontliner doctor has clarified that her husband passed away late at night on Jan 18 due to acute respiratory distress and not fatigue from Covid-19 duties as alleged.
Last night, a posting on Facebook, which claimed the deceased doctor had passed away due to fatigue from his Covid-19 duties, had gone viral.
"Suddenly, I received many friends' requests because it has gone viral. Many have prayed for my late husband Dr Ali Noor Hassan. Alhamdullilah.
"But the information about his death is not so accurate. He passed away at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) due to acute respiratory distress and not because of Covid or fatigue from his duties fighting Covid-19," said the doctor's wife Asilah Alqarny on her Facebook today.
The original posting which had gone viral has since added an update including Asilah's clarification.

Tiba tiba banyak dapat request friend..sebab da viral ..ramainya yang doakan arwah suami dr Ali Noor Hassan hassan....
Posted by Asilah Alqarny on Tuesday, 19 January 2021 Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has also extended his condolences to Ali's family.

"(Ali) was a Health Ministry medical officer who was very well-liked by his colleagues, patients and local community," Noor Hisham said in a posting on Facebook today.
He noted that Ali's post-mortem Covid-19 test had come back negative and that he had been admitted into HKL since early December 2020 due to a "different illness".
"As a sign of respect for the deceased and his family, the Health Ministry asks that no one make any speculations about his case," he said.
Asilah said in her Facebook posting that her late husband was very involved in tabligh community and would often give free medical consultations to other attendees.
He was also a generous man who was always the first to visit any friends who were unwell, she added.
Describing him as a filial son, she said Ali always bought food for his mother and would always try to take the day off to bring his mother to the clinic for medical treatments.
"When his mother was diagnosed with lung cancer in August 2018, he was willing to take half-pay leave to take care of her," Asilah recounted. - Mkini
