Dap Tells Pas Harakah To Retract Claims By Guan Eng S Ex Adviser
PAS organ Harakah Daily has been urged to retract an article alleging a former DAP member, who recently joined the Islamist party, used to serve as Lim Guan Eng’s special adviser.
Lim’s political secretary Wong Hon Wai said Mohamed Razali Abd Rahman had never held this position or any of the other positions reported in the same article.
“I would like to remind Harakah Daily and PAS that this news is slander and the personality mentioned that is Razali has never been a special adviser to Lim Guan Eng.
“I would also like to stress that Razali has never held any of the other positions as reported by Harakah Daily, whether in DAP or in the government.
“I ask Harakah Daily to retract this article and apologise to Lim within 48 hours, otherwise legal action will be taken,” Wong (above) said in a statement today.
The article in question was published on June 23, alleging that Razali was a former special adviser to Lim, who is currently DAP national chairperson.
The article also claimed that Razali was formerly the Penang DAP Youth vice-chief, special officer to Jelutong MP RSN Rayer, DAP strategist, DAP publicity secretary, and Jelutong DAP chief.
Razali first joined DAP in 2008 and was subsequently sacked in 2011 when he accused the party of a “Christian plot” to take over Putrajaya.
He entered the headlines again in 2016 when he alleged DAP was being supported and financed by Israel.
At the time, DAP also denied that Razali had held any posts in the party. - Mkini
