Dalam Kenangan Class Of 99

Kisahnya hari ni marks 20 tahun aku dapat sekeping degree. Ok that is not quite true. 15th May tu  adalah graduation day. With the gown and all. Tapi the actual degree tu kitorang dapat lambat jugak. Seingat aku few months after rasanya.
Anyway, it was a 2-day ceremony. Sehari sebelum tu dah ada event. And on the 15th it was held dekat Kiel Center somewhere in downtown St.Louis.

Commencement day untuk bachelors degree kat school aku ni mcm sempoi je sebenarnya. We all takde pakai robe yg tebal2 gedabak mcm univ kat mesia ni. Our robe hanyalah selai convo gown nipis kaler hitam. Masing2 kene beli sendiri kat school bookstore. Harga 19 dollars tak silap aku. Dapat gown + cap. Dekat tassel cap tu ada figure 99 tergantung. Itu jer.

Macam tahun2 sebelumnya, mostly m'sian students akan pegi beramai2 untuk meraikan rakan2 yang grad. It was a happy moment walaupun aku time tu sebenarnya still ada few more subjects to be taken during summer semester. Kekdahnya univ tempat aku study tu commencement day ada 2 kali je setahun. Satu in spring , satu lagik in winter. So we all yg supposedly finish our study in spring kene la attend commencement day in spring. Sapa yg abis lepas fall semester kene attend the one in winter. Aku plak lepas abis spring semester, masih lagik ada few subjects nak kene amik in summer utk cukupkan credit hours + nak bagi cgpa cantek sket hahahaha. Ni la kisahnya org yg tak brape nak bijak nih.

So the ceremony hari tu mcm any other graduation day, naik pentas amik mock scroll (or what is a piece of paper, lupa dah), posing2 with friends and course mates afterwards. Pastu we headed back to our school for tea session dekat one of the historic mansions dalam school.

Dulu aku pasang angan2 to pay a visit to this school after 20 years tapi nampaknya belom ada rezeki.
