Cytros Poke Fun At Pn Over Naran Singh S Appointment As Lawyer For Israeli Firearms Suspect
PAKATAN Harapan (PH) backers have trolled Perikatan Nasional (PN) over the appointment of the latter’s Jalong state seat candidate during the 15th General Election (GE15), Datuk Naran Singh Asa Singh, as the defence counsel for Israeli Avirtan Shalom who was nabbed over firearms possession in late March this year.
“The Madani government arrested the Israeli but the PN gang came to his defence,” chided social media influencer Zac (@ZacZakirin13) on the X platform.
“In the Sungai Bakap ceramah, they (PN leaders) accused PMX of being an adopted child of the US while their supporters accused him as being pro-Israel.
“Ironically, the then PN candidate for the Jalong state seat is now the lawyer who is defending the Israelis. He is also one of those who has actively campaigned in Sungai Bakap for the PN candidate. LOL.”
Another PH keyboard warrior Zack Rockstar (@zack_rockstar) went on to reveal that the criminal lawyer “had contested as a PN candidate for the N22 Jalong state seat in the Sungai Siput parliament constituency in Perak during GE15”.
“It’s great that PN is a friendly party to the lawyer who is defending Israeli suspect. ,” tweeted Najib Bakar (@najib_bakar_).
One commentator further recalled Naran’s “losing” role in defending Perak PAS commissioner Razman Zakaria who was sued by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (PMX) over defamatory remarks linking Anwar with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) culture and claiming that he supports communist ideology.
For the record, the Gerakan member eventually lost in a four-cornered fight for the Jalong seat in the Sungai Siput’s parliamentary constituency to incumbent Pakatan Harapan-DAP’s (PH) Loh Sze Yee who polled 15,955 votes to his 3,043 votes.
