Covid 19 Terengganu 111 Case Patients Across The State To See A Doctor
UALA TERENGGANU: "I did not go to Kuantan to visit the sick, but I received an appointment letter for follow-up treatment at a private hospital there
"While there, I was instructed to undergo a screening before being allowed to see a doctor. During the screening, I was positively diagnosed with COVID-19," said an oil digger linked to the recent pandemic in Terengganu
The victim, 36, who became the 111th case of COVID-19 in Terengganu, said he went to a private hospital in Kuantan for treatment of high blood pressure and a head problem with a doctor's appointment
"I went there on Tuesday (May 19) to take high blood pressure medicine and follow-up treatment for headaches
"Due to the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, I was ordered to undergo a screening test before receiving follow-up treatment. As a result, I was positive for the outbreak," he said, living with his parents in Kampung Kemasik, Kemaman
The man said that following the results of the screening, he was transferred to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) Kuantan and underwent another COVID-19 screening on the same day
However, the HTAA screening found the opposite results when the test showed he had the outbreak and was awaiting the result of a second screening by the hospital on Tuesday
"If the test results are negative, I will most likely be discharged today," said a 15-year-old working at an oil exploration company at Kemaman Supply Base (KSB) in Kemaman
He admitted to being shocked when a private hospital informed him that he was positive for COVID-19, claiming that he spends most of his time at home and work alone, except occasionally at supermarkets in Chukai town
"Ever since the outbreak of the COVID-19 outbreak, I have always taken personal precautions and have taken precautions such as wearing face masks and disinfectants and keeping distance when outdoors," he said when contacted today
The victim said that following this, parents and relatives and all employees at the company he worked for were closely connected to the COVID-19 screening test
He said he regretted that some irresponsible parties were spreading statements which indirectly depicted him intentionally violating the standard operating procedure (SOP) of the Conditional Movement Control Command (PKPB), which involved cross-examining the sick and receiving complaints from netizens
