Covid 19 Case Detected At Mid Valley Mall

An employee of a retail company with outlets at the Mid Valley mall has been confirmed to have contracted Covid-19. (Facebook pic)PETALING JAYA: Mid Valley Megamall has reported a Covid-19 case at the complex, involving a London Sales Cosmetics Sdn Bhd (LSC) employee.
Covid-19 infections have also been reported at Bangsar Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur, and at Telekoms Malaysia’s building in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.
The managements of Mid Valley and Gardens said in a joint statement that one of the employee’s relatives had been exposed to the virus.
The employee was asymptomatic but had undergone self-quarantine and was confirmed positive for Covid-19 yesterday.
After receiving the news earlier today, it said all three outlets by LSC were closed. LSC operates Surreal by Élévatione Time Stops in Mid Valley and Origani and Élévatione Time Stops at The Gardens Mall.
It also said the malls were currently carrying out sanitisation and disinfection at all three LSC outlets and common areas throughout the two malls.
“We have implemented precautionary measures to maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene as recommended by the government at both malls to ensure everyone’s health and safety.
“We will continue to monitor the situation closely together with the authorities and will provide updates as necessary,” it added.
Earlier today, the Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC) reported a Covid-19 case involving a staff member at the retail store Origani.
Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) also confirmed two new positive cases among its employees today.
One was based at Menara TM ONE in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, and the other at its Kepayan office in Kota Kinabalu. - FMT
