Cops Waiting For Urine Test From Drug Bust Involving Dengkil Rep
Police are waiting for the pathology test on a urine sample obtained from a drug bust at a Puchong condominium over the weekend
A total of 17 people were arrested during the drug bust, including Dengkil assemblyperson Adhif Syan Abdullah
Bukit Aman Narcotic Crimes Investigation Department director Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd (photo) said even if an initial drug test conducted by police returned positive, they still need the pathology test results for confirmation
Police had said previously that 16 out of 17 people detained had tested positive for drugs
"We're now waiting for the pathology report. In all cases involving drugs, we will conduct a preliminary test and even if it is positive, we can't say they are drug addicts," Mohd Khalil told a press conference at the Selangor police contingent headquarters in Shah Alam today
when asked for an update on Adhif's case, who is also Selangor Bersatu Youth chief
"We need to send the specimen to the hospital and they will determine the results based on the test conducted," he told a press conference at the Selangor police contingent headquarters in Shah Alam today
Adhif, who is also the Selangor Bersatu Youth chief, had initially denied he was arrested but later said he was "at the wrong place and at the wrong time"
Mohd Khalil said everyone has the right to make comments on social media. "Is it true he wasn't there? We don't know what is said on Facebook. Anyone can make their comments but it has nothing to do with the police," he said. - Mkini
