Cleaning Your Car Tyres
The tyres of your Vios GR Malaysia makes contact with the road all the time, accumulating mostly dirt. Them and the road form a symbiotic, yet inorganic relationship as an absolute necessity to move the car around.
We won’t be making or seeing flying cars anytime soon, and if they are actually in production, at best you would probably be old or gone by the time mass production began and they are officially launched for public use. So in the present, if the wheels of your car are ever off the road or other terrain, your car is probably falling off a cliff now.
Moving on, since your tires formed a permanent relationship with roads, it is inevitable that they will become dirtier the more you use them. If you do not mind, you could clean your tires in your weekly car wash, or you can just do it for at least a month.
You might be asking how you can clean rubber as opposed to steel, saved for the rims. Easy.
Tools
Besides a steady supply of water, preferably a hose or better yet, a spray nozzle or pressure washer, you also need a brush to scrub the tires and a car tire cleaner or detergent to soap them up. Lastly, you need a drying cloth and a cleaning rag or sponge.
If you have just driven before cleaning your tires, you should let them cool down for a while before you can start applying any tire cleaning products on the rubber and metal rims. Also, for best results, work them one by one by cleaning each tyre from start to finish before moving on to the next.
Rinsing
The first step of tire cleaning is to simply rinse it with water. Work in different angles to ensure that the tyres are thoroughly wet and you could remove any stains or marks, especially on the rims. Keeping the tire wet while cleaning it is recommended because the water will provide lubrication and prevent scratching.
Washing
With your tire rinsed, you can start with the rubber itself so no grime could run down an already cleaned rim, wasting your work away. Apply the tire cleaner on it and scrub with a brush, again it is important that no part of your tire is dried up as you clean. If you have to, rinse, reapply and scrub the part again.
After scrubbing the cleaner around your tire, allow it to sit for a few minutes, then rinse the tire again, washing off the softened grime. When that is done, you can move on to the rim.
For the rim, just apply warm soapy water and scrub with the brush, using it to reach difficult spots of the rim too. Rinse when done.
Now you can repeat the same to the other tires.
Drying and waxing
After all of your tires are cleaned, dry both the rubber and rim with a drying cloth, making sure that it is clean prior to drying.
Now what if you just want to clean your tire with a simple, high pressure rinse and dry process because you want to skip scrubbing like a machine next month? Sure, just apply a tire wax on the rubber and rim every three to four months and you are home free.
Use a mitt or foam pad to apply the wax. To get the best of its affect, follow its own instructions on the container.
