Charge Me I Won T Run Influencer Defiant Amid Mcmc Probe

Influencer Aliff Ahmad dares MCMC to charge him in court after he was summoned for questioning earlier today over a social media post involving former Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah Anwar.
Aliff also said he won’t run or delete the social media post that earned him a summons from the commission.
“I’m ready to get charged. In fact, I urged them (MCMC officers) to charge me (in court).
“To make their lives easier, I prepared a statutory declaration to confirm that the Aliff Ahmad Facebook page is mine and the post was made by me.
“With the SD, it will be easier for the prosecutors to charge me. I won’t run, evade or delete (the post). By the way, they didn’t confiscate my phone,” he said on Facebook today.
Aliff said that he went to the MCMC office today at 10.40am for questioning, adding that a police officer was also present.
He is currently being investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act for improper use of network facilities or network service.
Yesterday, Aliff confirmed MCMC had summoned him over an offer to conduct an in-depth background check on Nurul Izzah, through a system known as “Scrut Analytica”.
The Scrut Analytica co-founder said he received an official notice to be at MCMC’s headquarters in Cyberjaya at 8pm yesterday but went today instead as he was unavailable during that time.
Earlier, Nurul Izzah, who is also PKR vice-president, denied lodging any report with the MCMC against Aliff.

Intimidation?
Meanwhile, Aliff said if he gets charged in court, the prosecution would have no choice but to reveal the identity of the person who lodged the report.
“And I want to see the prosecution’s argument during the trial. It’s interesting,” he said.
Aliff stated that if there is no charge, it would be a clear-cut case of intimidation and a waste of time for the authorities and himself.
“I apologise to MCMC officers for my actions. I’m not your enemy. I just want you all to be firm and only fear God.
“And I hope MCMC would focus on resolving real issues which are more disgusting and bad,” he added.
