Bung Shares Tips On How Bn Can Helm Sabah For Five Decades
SABAH POLLS | Sabah BN and its allies can helm the state for at least ten terms if their representatives are easily approachable and do not behave like big bosses.
This is how Sabah BN chief Bung Moktar Radin advised BN candidates on how they could be in power for decades at a ceramah held at the Pantai Dalit state seat this evening.
"This is my message for the candidates, when we win the polls, we shall return to the people as we are part of them. I assure the people that we are here to serve and not to be served. That is our promise.
"We should not become a representative that acts like a ruler and a big boss, we should have engagement and be hands-on, we meet the people and the youth," he said.
"God willing, if we are doing this, not only can we become the government for one term or two terms or ten terms but BN and its allies will continue to be supported by the people for few hundred years," he said.
"Give us a chance and an opportunity to helm the state, if we are not good, then kick us out," appealed Bung, who is also contesting the Lamag seat.
Meanwhile, he said the relevant government authorities have agreed to implement the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah's (GRS) manifesto, dubbed "Aku Janji".
"The Economic Planning Unit and the Prime Minister's Department have agreed to (implement the manifesto). It is neither burdensome nor too light," he said.
BN has fielded a total of 41 candidates for the polls next week with Umno contesting in 31 state seats, followed by PBRS (six seats) and MCA (four seats).
Perikatan Nasional is contesting in 29 seats with 19 seats given to Bersatu while Star and SAPP are contesting eight seats and two seats respectively.
PBS, meanwhile, is contesting in 22 state seats. - Mkini
