Boy Or Girl Weird Conceiving Tips From An Online Post Sparks Debate

UNDOUBTEDLY, newly weds and young couples have a grand vision of how they want their family to be. The magic number nowadays is definitely one daughter and one son to complete the set. But is it really within our control? 
Since the selection process is on a microscopic level, many have resigned themselves to fate. Others tried bending fate by praying to the gods. Some others indulge in folklore medication or superstition in the hopes that the odds will be in their favour.
Regardless, we are certain they will enjoy the process of making the baby. On another note, a post on X is getting quite the attention for suggesting some interesting “tips” to increase the odds of getting a certain gender.
According to the post by netizen @anthraxxxx, the lady needs to climax first if the couple wants to get a baby boy. Also, the female should consume a high cholesterol diet before doing their “homework.”
Many other tips were given and we can’t help but wonder who wrote this. Some statistics on success rate should be very helpful to lend credibility to the advice too.

However, science and maths have pointed out that the odds of getting a baby girl or boy is 50:50. Is this true? The website Clearblue may have a more compelling answer.
“In the 1970s Dr Shettles found that female and male sperm had different characteristics. He believed that identifying these differences may help couples to try to conceive a boy or a girl,” said the website.
According to Clearblue, Shettles found sperm containing a Y chromosome were smaller, would swim faster and have a shorter life span than the sperm containing an X chromosome. 
He believed that when a couple had intercourse close to ovulation, the faster-moving male sperm would be more likely to reach and fertilize the egg first, increasing the chances of conceiving a boy.
In contrast, female sperm, though slower, are more resilient and have a longer lifespan. Therefore, if intercourse took place earlier in the fertile window, the female sperm would still be present when ovulation occurred, making it more likely for the couple to conceive a girl.
