Both Umno And Dap Need To Apologise
From Badrulsham Rashid
I refer to your report “Apologise to win Umno, Malay support, Youth chief tells DAP”.
While the Umno president has downplayed the issue, its deputy president is quoted to have said that the demand by Umno Youth is good.
It bewilders me as to what is the salient and implicit message that both the youth leader and the deputy president are trying to convey to the masses.
As the Umno president and its Wanita chief have emphasised, Barisan Nasional (BN), which is led by Umno, is no longer a dominant party having lost in the last two general elections, GE14 and GE15.
The president further reiterated that it is best to find common grounds rather than harp on differences, and that DAP has already agreed to Umno’s main terms when forming the unity government.
As an integral part of the Madani government, all parties in the unity government must work together to strengthen the national administration in order to forge ahead and lead the nation to greater prosperity.
Our beloved nation is facing many challenges and on many fronts. Therefore, it requires the understanding and support of all parties and the rakyat as a whole.
Ads by KioskedLet us keep our egos aside, and forgive and forget the past as all parties are equally guilty of making all kinds of allegations in the past, and it is not confined to only DAP.
Let us be reminded of the adage “Menang sorak kampung tergadai.” which translates to winning the battle but losing the war.
Magnanimity is demanded from all parties without exception. - FMT
