Wong Lee Ping, mother of the deceased, Form Three student Yap Shing Xuen, said the extent of the injuries was revealed to the family by the performing pathologist after the autopsy was conducted.
The stab wounds, she said, were concentrated on the right side of her daughter’s torso, extending from the neck down to the thigh.
“What I was told is that the suspect had climbed over the school’s toilet cubicle and attacked my daughter who had locked herself in.
“She screamed and after the attack, the suspect climbed out of the cubicle but my daughter was still locked inside,” she told a press conference at the Nirvana Center Kuala Lumpur here.
Wong insisted that her daughter had neither prior relationship with the suspect nor mentioned being approached previously.
“She was an introvert but active in sports especially volleyball.
“A self-disciplined and filial daughter, she has never caused me any trouble,” she said while holding back tears.
She also said the family was compelled to address several untrue claims currently being circulated on social media.
Some of these allegations claimed her daughter was raped and that an uncle was misidentified as the killer’s father.
“My daughter is already a victim and I hope social media will stop spreading these falsehoods,” she said.

He also implored internet users to stop spreading falsehood.
“Please stop all these nonsense, it’s ridiculous, and the main thing is I want an answer (to) what really happened.
“I just hope that these things will not happen again because schools are suppose to be a safe place,” How said. - malaymail
