Are The Malays Really Immigrants To Malaya
To insist that the Malays are immigrants to Malaysia shows how uneducated these people are. That statement has no historical value. The Malays did not come to Malaysia. The Malays were already in Malaysia for thousands of years. It was Malaysia that came to the Malays, the other way around.
NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin
When we talk about the history of Merdeka and how the Indians and Chinese were given citizenship in 1957 as part of the ‘Merdeka Agreement’, the non-Malays will say we are all immigrants, even the Malays, and that Malaysia belongs to the Orang Asli.
Those who say such things demonstrate a lack of proper education. When you make observations and conclusions, they must be based on a fact of history or evidence. Saying that all Malaysians are immigrants, even the Malays, and that Malaysia belongs to the Orang Asli, shows how jahil these people are.
Okay, let me put it this way. When did the Malays supposedly migrate to Malaysia? Give us the timeline and from what date do you wish to start recording the Malay migration to Malaysia?
There are official records to show that the British decided to bring in Indians from India and Chinese from China starting from 1850. In 1920, when the immigrant population touched about 50% of the total population of Malaya, the British ended the immigration policy.
But the Indians and Chinese were still regarded as immigrants until 1957 when they were given citizenship upon Merdeka. This is all history and is recorded.
So, when did the Malays start migrating to Malaya?
According to the Abrahamic faiths, the first two humans on earth were Adam and Eve (not Adam and Steve, as the gay rights people would have us believe). And they first ‘landed’ in what is today known as Iraq.
If the Old Testament, New Testament and Qur’an are correct, then everyone who is NOT Iraqi is an immigrant. The Chinese in China and Indians in India are immigrants from Iraq. The Chinese in China and Indians in India do not own China and India, according to what God tells us in the Old Testament, New Testament and Qur’an.
Okay, maybe that is going too far back. Maybe we want to bring forward the date a bit. What if we go back to, say, just 2,000 years?
If we go back 2,000 years then the Scots, Welsh, Irish and English are all pendatang. The Scots, Welsh, Irish and English do not own the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom is owned by the Druids, the Orang Asli of the United Kingdom.
In fact, even Queen Elizabeth and the British Royal Family are not the legitimate rulers of Britain (just like how they say the Malay Royal Family are ‘pirates’ or ‘Bugis pirates’).
The real owners of Britain are the Druids. Then the Saxons came and took over. Then the Romans came and took over. Then the Vikings came and took over. Finally, the French or Normans came and took over.
And for 1,000 years the Normans have ruled England — meaning the French have ruled England for 1,000 years. Plus a part of France ‘legally’ belongs to England.
So, from what date do we start our thesis? 1,000 years ago? 2,000 years ago? When Adam and Eve first stepped foot in Iraq?
How could the Malays have migrated to Malaya, as the non-Malays say? Malaya did not exist until 1948.
Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, and Perlis were under the control of Southern Thailand, which was in turn under the influence of the Malay kingdom of Srivijaya from Sumatra. They had their own Sultan in Songkhla.
Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, and Perlis did not become part of British Malaya until 1909. So, for 1,000 years, when the Normans took over England in 1066, North Malaya was part of the Srivijaya and then the Chola dynasty. Only in 1909 did North Malaya become part of British Malaya.
So how can the Malays have migrated to Malaya? Malaya did not exist until 1948. But the Malay empire already existed 1,000 years before that, long before Malaya was created.
To insist that the Malays are immigrants to Malaysia shows how uneducated these people are. That statement has no historical value. The Malays did not come to Malaysia. The Malays were already in Malaysia for thousands of years. It was Malaysia that came to the Malays, the other way around.
