In conjunction with Teachers' Day, Anwar said that teachers across the country put their unwavering dedication to educate the nation's future.
"Teachers are noble individuals who never ask to be idolised, yet every day, they pour out patience, love, and commitment to shape the future of our children and our country," he said in a Facebook post.


Anwar said that the vital role educators play in nation-building cannot be overstated, and expressed his deepest gratitude to all teachers and education professionals across Malaysia.
"Each teacher is a warrior, patient in moulding character, steadfast in upholding values. The task of shaping a person's character does not end with the school day; it is a lifelong responsibility, passed from one generation to the next, in our shared journey to build a Madani society," he said.
Anwar likened teachers to 'elite agents' on the front lines of education, fighting tirelessly to ensure that the mission of knowledge and learning is fulfilled.
"Their unwavering spirit stands as the backbone of our country. We owe them our deepest thanks for their dedication in raising an informed and principled generation," he added.
Anwar said educators must continue their mission of imparting knowledge with sincerity and determination, as the entire nation bears witness to the magnitude of their contributions.
"You are the true heroes shaping the future of Malaysia," he concluded in his post.
Teachers' Day is celebrated annually on May 16 in Malaysia to honour the teaching profession. - NST
