Anwar Ibrahim claims that leaders in Perikatan Nasional are busy trying to woo PKR lawmakers instead of fighting the Covid-19 pandemic
The PKR president said among the leaders currently engaged in politicking was Home Affairs Minister Hamzah Zainuddin
"We have leaders, ministers, including the Home Minister, instead of looking into this issue of the virus and national security, are trying to entice people, calling up MPs from our party and persuading them, promising all sorts of perks to join them," he told CNBC in an interview today

Anwar was asked by the interviewer about whether Pakatan Harapan would still push for a vote of no-confidence against Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and whether they had the numbers
The Port Dickson MP said that while his main focus now is the virus, national security and public welfare, he remained optimistic about a no-confidence motion
He said on-going attempts to woo PKR lawmakers was proof that PN was fragile
However, he said whether a vote of no-confidence would be called would depend on the unfolding situation in the country
In the meantime, Anwar said Harapan will support the government in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic
"We are with the government in all efforts to deal with this issue," he said
He said, however, the government lacks a clear and coherent plan to fight Covid-19
He said more needs to be done to look after the poor and ensure that they are taken care of during the two-week movement control order period
Anwar also criticised the government for not prohibiting religious gatherings much earlier, saying Putrajaya's attempts to look religious had resulted in late decision-making. - Mkini
