Acting Baling police chief Ahmad Salimi Mat Ali said the authorities received a report from a 53-year-old man on Sunday, who was informed that a video showing his child in the nude had gone viral, Berita Harian reported.
Three students and a former student were arrested at 9.30pm the same day to facilitate investigations.
“We found that the four suspects were involved in group sex between May and August at several locations in the classrooms of the school in question,” Salimi said.
The four teenagers were remanded for five days from the day of their arrest. Police also seized six handphones.
Salimi said the matter was being investigated for gang rape and the distribution of child pornography.
The case in Baling comes weeks after a 15-year-old was allegedly gang raped by four Form 5 students in Melaka.
It was reported that the victim was gang raped on Oct 2, while she was on her way to her classroom to retrieve something she had left behind.
Two of the suspects reportedly watched and recorded the incident on their mobile phones, and the videos were later circulated online.
Earlier today, the Attorney-General’s Chambers said the four would be charged at a magistrates’ court with gang rape and carnal intercourse against the order of nature.
They will also be charged with physical sexual assault on a child. - FMT
