Alleged Rapist Dies After Scuffle With Police In Wangsa Maju

 Police say the man locked three of his victims in the master bedroom and took one of the women to a separate room where he allegedly raped her twice.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Fadil Marsus said two policemen were immediately dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call about a house break-in around 12.40pm.
“Upon arrival, the officers called out to the occupants but received no response. About five minutes later, the door was opened by a man,” he said in a statement.
Fadil said the officers identified themselves as police and entered the house. The man then pulled out a meat cleaver and tried to attack one of the officers.
“The officer managed to evade the strike, and a struggle ensued. The suspect was subdued with the assistance of a security guard. During the scuffle, the suspect punched one officer in the face and bit his hand,” he said.
Later, after being detained, the suspect complained of shortness of breath, Fadil said.
Police called for an ambulance, which arrived about 40 minutes later. Paramedics confirmed that the man had died at the scene, with the cause of death yet to be determined.
Preliminary investigations revealed that four local women were in the house during the incident. According to Fadil, the suspect is believed to have entered the house posing as a delivery man.
“He tied up all four victims, locked three of them in the master bedroom, and took another to a separate room where he raped her twice – once in the bedroom and once in the bathroom,” Fadil said.
All four women suffered minor injuries to their hands, faces, and bodies. The suspect also allegedly stole RM200 in cash and an ATM card belonging to one of the victims before committing the rape.
Fadil said checks revealed the suspect had 10 previous criminal records related to robbery. - FMT
