Actress Protest Kampung Sungai Baru Sales With Horn Blowing

RECENTLY, a Malaysian actress took the limelight for her passionate plea protesting the issue involving the land sale of Kampung Sungai Baru.
What drew attention was the fact that she stood at the back of a truck blowing a horn as though a battle was about to unfold.
Also, she could be seen circling the residential area, attempting to rally people with a loud hailer.

Netizens, however, were divided about her actions. According to @norhaslindanh who saw the video, she said it would be best not to scream with a microphone as the neighbours may emerge from their homes and start hurling eggs.

Another netizen pointed out that no one came out of their homes to support her. Also, an unimpressed @Chillex35653570 wondered if she had filled in the PAS membership form. @MRLofficials replied that she may have filled it considering that her husband is a PAS member.

“Is this Narnia?” @AsdfUnplug89452 wondered since the horn blowing resembled certain scenes in the movie.

“If she is always like this, it is best to advise her to learn how to make films. Surely a film would have been completed by then. She could then sell the film and buy back the land at Kampung Baru,” said @affifazizan.
However, the lady has her supporters too. Netizen @sufy_41 warned that the residents there might not be able to see what she was fighting for now. “But one day, the Malay residents there will regret it,” added @sufy_41.

@shyyusoff further commented that the Malays are prone to condemn the Malays who defend their land. 
“With the other races, whether it is wrong or not, they are united. They even unite for illegal durians. This is the issue of Malay land where the Malays need to leave their homes due to the unreasonable price but they get condemned,” said @shyyusoff.
Prompted by the video, some netizens highlighted that the issue of the land sale should not be foisted upon the shoulders of the Madani government as it was an old story dating back to the government under BN.
To recap, the Kampung Sungai Baru development project involves 382 units, including 64 terrace lots and 264 flat units.
This controversy arose following the demands of a group of original residents consisting of a handful of residents who were dissatisfied with the compensation they received.
Netizen @8098MohdHafiz further pointed out that the horn-blowing actress might not be aware of the fact that the residents of Kampung Sungai Baru had signed the agreement requiring them five years to complete their move out of the area.
According to him, the Minister of Plantation Industries And Commodities Of Malaysia Johari Abdul Ghani already clarified the matter with TV3 in a special interview. — Focus Malaysia
