As she battles against her feelings for James, and for her mother's approval, Liza begins to realize there's no tried and true recipe for love.


You know, reading a book when they are talking about food -- NO! I mean describing the food was seriously makes me go hungry and want to munch something while reading the book. It sounds delicious every dessert and the food mention in here makes my mouth watering all the time. Okay, back to the real deal

Liza Yang, a Taiwanese-American who lives with her parents that both of them own a restaurant and a popular bakery. She enjoy baking so much but both of her parents disagreed when she said she want to take culinary course so she tried her best to obey but it is too difficult for her. To add to that, her mom is trying to find and handpicked her an Asian boyfriend and she is really not into that. One day, she agreed to help her mom at the bakery and her mom makes her as one of the judge for the bakery's annual junior competition that been organized by her mom every year. Little did she know, this year her mom had hand picked all the contestant based on what she think is a perfect date for Liza. That is when this new handsome guy came into the picture. Not hand picked by the mother. So, what will happened then? One of the contestant or this new handsome guy

I enjoy the story, the characters are all likable although I'm kinda mad at her Liza's mom but then mom is mom, they want the best for her daughter, right? Love twist that I don't even know it was there and it felt so good to know how it will ended. The friendship between Liza and Grace is how I really wish I have one like that. They have a strong friendship foundation, supportive each other and always there no matter what. That is true friendship. Not to be left behind on Liza and her elder sister's relationship. It just so adorable

Relationship? My goodness. Where can I find the real James Wong in this world? He is quirky, cute and quite annoying. He may not saying it but he shows through his action which if me you better say it because I don't want to guess it.

Overall, it is heavenly adorable contemporary story. Delicious food and dessert that were mention makes me go hungry. A wonderful friendship, relationship with the family and the boyfriend. Recommended you to read but be ready to go hungry
