60 000 Fill Up With Cheaper Ron95 Fuel On Day 1
The finance ministry says 1.3 million litres of subsidised petrol were sold to military and police personnel.

The ministry said some 1.3 million litres of subsidised fuel had been purchased under the BUDI95 initiative.
It said it did not receive any complaints about the mechanism used to purchase the fuel, nor were there any reports of delays at petrol stations.
“The MyKad readers at the oil pump terminals are functioning well,” it said in a statement..
A total of 300,000 armed forces and police personnel became the first eligible group to enjoy the cheaper fuel today.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the decision to let police and military personnel be the first to enjoy subsidised petrol is in recognition of their role in safeguarding the nation’s security.
From Tuesday, Malaysians regardless of income level will be able to purchase RON95 petrol at RM1.99 per litre, down from RM2.05.
BUDI95 is expected to benefit about 18 million car and motorcycle users.
The ministry also said about 8.1 million users have used the BUDI95 portal to check their eligibility to the RON95 subsidy since it was launched on Thursday.
