There is even a software program called "WordPress ThemeGen" available that will generate a theme for you. You provide the image and it will generate the header and other necessary files.
While it is the most used blogging format on the internet there is an incredible amount of information on WordPress on the internet. There are articles galore, videos on YouTube, forums, etc available when you are searching for plugins to tie into your blog. Or maybe you are looking for a solution to a technical problem, there is a vast amount of resources available to solver your problem.
