Who Are The Gazan Civilians Coming To Malaysia Whose Insane Idea Was This
I received both these comments this morning.
1. The first is a Malaysiakini news report.
2. The second is a commentary by I really dont know who.
My comments follow in blue.
1. The Malaysiakini news report.
2. The commentary by I really dont know who.
What do you hope to gain from this insane proposal, Madani? Respect, Admiration, and Gratitude from the Arab and Muslim world? None of the above. The idea is so divorced from reason, intelligence, and efficacy that in return you will earn only disdain, contempt, and sneers from the very people you are grovelling to serve. Your local people are laughing at you if they are not outraged.
It is your insecurity, Madani, that is clearly evident. There is certainly nothing wrong with charity, or as you are wont to say when convenient, “mercy and compassion”. But when you want to attend to the misfortunes in Palestine in this ridiculous manner, it is obvious to anyone that your gaze is on some measure of recognition, that somewhere, somehow, some Arab will invite you to sit at least at the edge of the banquet table. How sad that Qatar is out of reach!
(OSTB : "sit at the edge of the table" !! Ouch !)
Yet nobody, Arab, Jew, or Gentile, cares a hoot for you, and certainly not from this outlandish scheme which is so transparently intended to grab some world attention. You have simply gone overboard in wanting to display that so-called humanitarian you claim to be. It is all for the TV cameras, sound bites, and a pat on the head by an Arab hand.
(OSTB : " and a pat on the head by an Arab hand" !! Ouch !)
Just imagine the sheer idiocy! You actually propose to transport the sick and the injured over seven hours of air travel to an alien land to render medical attention when the far better could be achieved in the area of conflict itself. No, that will not be dramatic or spectacular enough for a desperate wannabee.
Forget the fact that even the Arabs you desperately wish to impress are indifferent to the Palestinian plight. In fact, many view Hamas and associates with abhorrence and animosity as a threat to regional peace. Except that swashbuckling Saladin from Malaysia.
Humanitarian? International statesman? Anybody but you, Madani.
What sincerity can you pretend to reflect when you are blind to the injustices being afflicted throughout the rest of the world, when you are blind to how your own citizens are treated?
You claim that our coffers are being robbed blind and thus subsidies have to be curtailed, medical services have to be restricted. Yet you seem to be rich enough to splash on air travel for foreigners.
For heaven’s sake, Madani, what is wrong with you?
3. MY COMMENTS :
The other day Hamas was promised RM100.0 million 'donations'. Then they said RM81 million had already been collected. The Foreign Ministry was in charge of collecting the 'donations'. Exactly whose money was that? Was there any GLC money involved? No genuine, private donor will give that many millions of Ringgit.
Now injured Gazan civilians are being given free air travel aboard RMAF transport aircraft from Cairo to Malaysia, via Karachi.
There are some things that do not add up.
It is easily a 15 hour flight from Cairo via Karachi to KL. Not seven hours. This is certainly one of the longest and furthest air medivac in the history of air medivac. Certainly the longest and furthest in the history of Malaysia. (medivac = medical evacuation).
These are propeller driven, military transport aircraft. They are not air ambulances. I guess some sort of basic medivac gear could be rigged up on board but not for people with a bullet hole in the head or bullet hole in the chest. They may not survive the 15 hour flight. You are putting them at grave risk. This is not a good idea at all.
So these are most likely lightly injured people who can survive the 15 hour flight with basic medivac gear on board. As the comment above suggests why not treat them on site. Our Army has full fledged field hospital capacity which can be flown out there.
But Egypt will almost certainly NOT ALLOW a single Gazan on its soil for medical treatment by foreigners. That is Arab style hospitality. For your information, Tuan-Tuan yang otak lembap, the Egyptians have closed their border with Gaza for many years now.
ABOVE : EGYPT CLOSES GAZA BORDER CROSSINGBELOW : EGYPT HAS BUILT A WALL ALONG ITS BORDER WITH GAZATHE BEST ARAB HOSPITALITY.
So who are these lightly injured people who are being flown to Malaysia? Are they real "civilians"? Most certainly they would have been chosen by Hamas. Just like the Egyptians, the Hamas are not known for their hospitality towards other Gazans. So who exactly are these 'civilians' who would have been chosen by Hamas for free air travel to Malaysia?
I hope they are not 'Hamas members' masquerading as civilians. We have absolutely no way of knowing anything for sure. If they say the guy's name is 'Bashar' you just have to accept it. How can you determine if it is really Bashar?
The reason I say this is because the Mossad fellows will know. After the first Gulf War (1991) I went to Iraq on an aid mission, as a guest of the State. Before we departed the US Embassy here already knew all the names of our group. A Tan Sri fellow in our gomen at that time (hello Tan Sri otak lembap) passed this information to someone I knew who then told me. So they watch everything.
Likewise, it was the Mossad fellows (or some mysterious people) who executed that Hamas engineer in KL. They knew exactly who and where he was in KL. Those same people will know the names and exact identities of these 100 Gazan 'civilians' who are being flown into Malaysia.
They will likely know other things like how much US Dollars they are bringing with them. That is their job.
So if there are any Hamas fellows (especially senior fellows) masquerading as 'civilians' well better put them under guard. At our Malaysian taxpayers' expense. Because their lives could be in danger as well - from the Mossad.
100 injured 'civilians' are being put at risk here. Unless they are suffering only light injuries. In which case why fly 15 hours for treatment of light injuries?
This whole idea is just stupid, stupid, stupid.
Err . . . one last question. What else will be on board those aircraft? This is a military flight. What about Customs checking? Immigration checks?
