PKR vice-president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad hopes that seat negotiations will be discussed ‘very soon’ with Muda so that the matter can be finalised.PETALING JAYA: PKR is ready to hold official discussions on seat allocation for the coming general election (GE15) with Muda, says party vice-president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
Nik Nazmi expressed hope that seat negotiations would be discussed “very soon” so that the matter could be finalised.
“We hope for a good resolution from the meeting,” Nik Nazmi told FMT, adding that he had met Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman this morning.
When asked about a Malaysiakini report which stated that Muda was mulling going solo in GE15 due to the lack of progress in talks with PH, he declined to comment.

Nik Nazmi is a member of the four-man PH committee that was initially tasked with holding talks with Muda about its application to join the coalition.
Earlier, Muda deputy president Amira Aisya Abd Aziz urged PH to quickly hold official discussions on seat allocation, pointing out that formal talks had yet to begin.
She also said she had reached out to PH leaders seeking a meeting with its presidential council on the matter.
Previously, PH chairman Anwar Ibrahim said the coalition was only considering an electoral pact with Muda for GE15 instead of admitting it as a component party.
Amira said Muda had agreed to PH’s three conditions for the pact, including the party’s backing for the coalition’s prime ministerial candidate. - FMT
