Water Disruption Across Klang Valley On June 5 Air Selangor Says
Water supply for Selangor residents in eight regions will be temporarily disrupted on June 5 following a scheduled asset maintenance and replacement works at Sungai Selangor Phase 1 water treatment plant.
Air Selangor in a statement today said affected areas are Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor regions, with works carried out from 9am to 7pm on June 5.
Subsequently, water supply is expected to be restored to consumers in stages beginning from 3am, June 6, after the maintenance and replacement works are completed and the main water supply distribution system has been stabilised.
According to Air Selangor, full recovery of the water supply is expected at noon on June 7.
“Air Selangor will be mobilising water tankers to the affected areas by giving priority to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funerals.
“Therefore, Air Selangor would like to advise the affected consumers to keep adequate water supply and use water prudently during this period of scheduled water supply disruption,” it said in the notice issued about three weeks in advance.
For commercial customers, Air Selangor said the purchase of water supply can be made at any of its customer service counters, aside from opening up four water filling stations in Breamer Estet (Hulu Langat region), Taman Gemilang Dengkil and Pekan Salak (Sepang region), as well as Taman Banting Baru (Kuala Langat region).
It added that consumers can also obtain information from alternative official communication channels such as the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram and X or call Air Selangor’s Call Centre at 15300 or visit its website. - Mkini
