Viral Aunty Points Out Stressful Pregnant Mothers As A Cause For Autism

RECENTLY, an auntie went viral on tiktok for her advice pointing out that autism is caused by stressed out pregnant mothers.
According to her, there is a rising trend for autism and it has something to do with the muddled thoughts of the stressful mother which affects the unborn child. 
To this, she advocated people to improve upon their diet by eating vegetables which she claims contains a healthy dose of folic acid. 

Sadly, however, the majority of netizens were sceptical towards her advice. Some even bashed her. 
“She’s free to give her opinion but I don’t agree with her,” said @MyzonedrOnG while @fdo_firdaus claimed the lady was stressed too since her son, Aliff, Syukri had some disorder.

Note that the lady in the video is Bonda Rozita, mother to Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri.
Also, netizen @NajaZulkhairi claimed that her product once caused damage to the kidneys of a customer and she has yet to talk about it.
Perhaps the winning comment goes to @Boboboyan20 who inquired if Bonda Rozita knew the reason why guys are becoming soft nowadays. 
@MorningBorneo also had a harsh rebuke for her. “Since she is not a medical expert, the advice can just go in the right ear and go out the left ear. She doesn’t realise that autism is not new. It has been around for a long time, people just didn’t realise it. People didn’t know what the signs of autism were so they didn’t even go get checked,” said @MorningBorneo.
Then there was @thewornpath who helpfully added that autism was mainly caused by the doctor injecting oxytocin into the mother to help during labour. Apparently the medicine reduces the flow of blood to the child.

Another netizen said he supported the part where Bonda Rozita advocated taking natural food like vegetables, fruits, fish and nuts.
Towards science and facts, the Mayo Clinic stated that Autism spectrum disorder has no single known cause. 
Autism spectrum disorder likely has multiple causes, given its complexity and the wide range of symptoms and severity. Both genetics and environmental factors are believed to contribute to autism. 
According to the Mayo Clinic, several genes are thought to be involved. In some cases, autism is linked to genetic disorders like Rett syndrome or fragile X syndrome. 
In others, genetic mutations, either inherited or occurring spontaneously, may increase the risk, impact brain development, influence how brain cells communicate, or affect symptom severity.

Also, researchers are investigating whether viral infections, certain medications, pregnancy complications, or air pollution might also contribute to triggering autism spectrum disorder.
