A scene from the winning animated video featuring scenes typical of Malaysia life.GEORGE TOWN: An animator from Petaling Jaya has won a RM5,000 prize from a state technology company with a 95-second video summing up what unites Malaysians — food and good times.
The video, “Malaysiaku Unik”, features food (such as nasi kandar, the love of cendol), culture (the gentleness of the Ngajat dance), and sport (the love of badminton and football) among other scenes typical of Malaysian life.
Izzuddin, an art director at an animation studio in Petaling Jaya, also brought nostalgia by recreating an old stamp with the federal star, which was common during the early days of Malaysia.
