Wisma Putra said they were given outpatient treatment at the main hospital in the Mueang Narathiwat District and have been allowed to go home.
"Two Malaysians were reported to be injured in the incident. Both received outpatient treatment at Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Hospital and were discharged on Tuesday (May 7)," the ministry said in a statement today.
It said explosion yesterday occurred at 9.35pm local time at a safety zone checkpoint in Tha Phraya Sai in Narathiwat province, Thailand.
It urged Malaysians in the vicinity to stay vigilant and follow the latest updates and guidance provided by the local authorities.

[email protected]The New Straits Times had reported that two Malaysian women sustained injuries in the bomb explosion along Phu Pha Phak Di road in Mueang district, Narathiwat.
The victims, identified as 38-year-old Hariza Aziz and 31-year-old Siti Aishah Ismail, from Kelantan, suffered injuries across their bodies and are currently receiving treatment at the district hospital.
A spokesperson for Thai security told the NST that the explosion occurred while the two women were passing through the area. - NST
