Offering users, a protection solution through the eWallet app



Touch ‘n Go eWallet is offering its growing 16 million users a protection solution by offering the Perlindungan Tenang Voucher Programme. The programme is an initiative by the Malaysian Government to extend social protection to the B40 group.

Through the Perlindungan Tenang Voucher Programme, RM75 vouchers are given to eligible Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia (BKM) recipients effective January 2022 to help them purchase Perlindungan Tenang products that cover death, property damage, accidents and others from licensed insurance companies and takaful operators.

“Approximately 270,000 Malaysian citizens from the B40 group have received the benefits of Perlindungan Tenang in January 2022 and 70% of them have claimed it through Touch ‘n Go eWallet. We encourage all Malaysians from the B40 group to take this opportunity to claim the Perlindungan Tenang voucher to protect them and their loved ones. By using technology and innovation effectively, we can offer this added value and customised protection solution to all users. This affordable and beneficial insurance offers eligible participants a peace of mind,” said Ignatius Ong, Chief Executive Officer, TNG Digital Sdn Bhd.

Eligible participants just have to navigate through their Touch ‘n Go eWallet app to enter the Perlindungan Tenang programme. After selecting the participating insurance companies or takaful operators, participants will have to click “Tebus Sekarang” to submit the application. Thereafter, an email will be sent to the participants by the insurer within seven working days informing on the status of the application.

“Perlindungan Tenang is an initiative by the insurance and takaful industry that provides insurance and takaful products to meet the needs of Malaysian who have yet to be covered, especially the B40 population. As the main goal is to provide insurance and takaful coverage from any risks, Perlindungan Tenang includes products that meet the criteria of Affordable, Easy Access, Easy to Understand and Easy Claims Process,” added Ong.

Through a seamless and convenient experience, users can claim this product directly from their Touch ‘n Go eWallet and get insured instantly. Submitting a claim is also easier and faster as the entire process is processed online.

Perlindungan Tenang Voucher is available for redemption on the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app.
