Top Officials Urged To Clear Air After Pas Leaks Document Surfaces

Several officials from the government and the ruling coalition have been urged to clear the air after they were named in an alleged intelligence report authored by PAS.
Umno veteran Shahrir Samad said the alleged document had implicated a top government official in a "conspiracy" that involved top legal officers.
The goal of the conspiracy, according to the so-called leaked document, was to expedite ongoing court cases against Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and his predecessor Najib Abdul Razak.

Umno veteran Shahrir Samad"If the allegations (in the document) are true, then it shows that the judiciary system has broken," wrote Shahrir on his Facebook page today.
Shahrir noted that the alleged document had been circulating since April 18 and he was waiting for those to be implicated to lodge police reports.
"At the very least, the prime minister should ask the attorney-general if he agreed with the (official's) opinions (recorded in the document).
"(The prime minister should) ask if this is collusion between political leaders (and figures in the judicial system)," Shahrir added.
The so-called leaked documents have been circulating in political circles and reported by a website known as Malaysia Hot.
The document contained the alleged findings of two PAS figures after meeting several top figures in Bersatu and Umno.
At the time of writing, PAS has not denied the claims. Malaysiakini has reached out to the two PAS officials and is waiting for their comments.

"Will there be a 'PAS leaks' as well if there are no denials coming from the (Terengganu PAS figure), who was featured prominently in the document," asked Shabery, who is also a major Umno figure in the state. - Mkini
