Time To Move On Pkr Leader Urges End To Internal Squabbles
PKR central leadership council member Siti Aishah Shaik Ismail has called for party members to put an end to lingering internal tensions, urging them to focus on party building and servicing the people instead.
ADSResponding to Rafizi Ramli’s rejection of an appointed post offer, Siti Aishah accused the former PKR deputy president of being “indifferent” to concerns shown by “friends in the party” who wanted to continue seeing him play a role despite the recent loss.
Siti Aishah said his sentiment should be seen as a signal for everyone to “move on” and shift public perception back to PKR’s real strengths.
“I believe, for now, it is enough for us to go through this phase without continuing to drag the public into the party’s internal matters.
“We must refocus in line with our promises and the call for PKR to continue working, reforming, and building the party’s strength collectively and in unity,” she said in a statement today.
While maintaining that every leader has the right to express their feelings, she hoped Rafizi could allow the party space to move forward smoothly.

Ex-PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli“However, let us also be fair to the entire leadership – from the top to the grassroots. PKR must be driven by work, not just perception,” she added.
Don’t play with people’s emotions
Siti Aishah also cautioned against emotional politicking and urged members to prioritise the rakyat.
“Enough with emotional games. Now is the time for the people,” she said.
Yesterday, outgoing Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli reaffirmed his decision not to take appointed posts in PKR.
He also revealed that the post Nurul Izzah Anwar had previously offered him was as a second deputy president.
Rafizi had lost the PKR deputy presidency to Nurul Izzah on May 23.
Prior to that, Rafizi said that Nurul Izzah had met him on May 20, asking him to help her after the party polls were over, and alluded to a position. - Mkini
