Chinese New Year is a time for family reunions and gathering. The Reunion Dinner is the most important meal and the tradition signifies family values of love, respect and bond.

Food plays an important role due to their symbolic meanings of luck and auspiciousness. Dumplings represent wealth as it is shaped like a Chinese gold ingot, the round shape of glutinous rice balls symbolize completeness and reunion, while noodles are all about longevity and smoothness
