The World Does Not Fully Grasp China Yet
Over the past TWO YEARS China consumed about 4.9 BILLION tons of cement. 'In 2023, China's cement production was 2.02 billion metric tons'
In the 100 years from 1900 to 2000, the United States of America consumed 4.2 Billion tons of cement. I hope you can see the difference.
In America they built the 'super-duper, gigantic' Hoover Dam which consumed a lot of cement. (The second largest dam in America). The Hoover Dam was built in 1931 - 94 years ago. The largest dam in America is the Oroville Dam in California built in 1968.
In China every two or three years they are completing another gigantic dam. Below here is a short video clip about China's gigantic Baihaten Dam which was commissioned in 2022. The dam wall is as tall as a 100 storey building. And it is built on an earthquake fault line - which it is designed to withstand.
This Chinese dam used FIFTEEN TIMES THE VOLUME of cement used to build the Hoover Dam. That is how China can consume 4.9 BILLION tons of cement in just TWO YEARS.
The Baihaten Dam produces 16,500 MW (Megawatts) of electricity. Our Malaysian National Grid has a demand of 17,880 MW. The Baihaten Dam alone can supply 90% of our power demand. Or it can supply the household needs of Thailand's 72 million population.
The scale of things in China is too big for this earth that we live in. Perhaps that is why the Chinese landed on the dark side of the moon. Only the Chinese know what they are really doing on the dark side of the moon. I dont think they are making mooncakes.
Imagine two years from now the Chinese would have consumed another 4.9 BILLION tons of cement or more. That is more than an entire United States of America.
China produced approximately 1.02 billion metric tons of steel in 2023. This accounted for about 54% of the world's total steel production
China's latest super aircraft carrier (Type 004) is around 110,000 to 120,000 tons (of steel). It will be the largest aircraft carrier and warship ever built in the world.
China's fourth aircraft carrier, known as Type 004, is under construction and is expected to be the country's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. It is also projected to be the world's largest aircraft carrier and the largest warship ever built, surpassing the USS Gerald R. Ford. The Type 004 is expected to have a displacement of 110,000 to 120,000 tonnes, a length of over 330 meters, and a width of 83 meters. EurAsian Times reports that it will be a next-generation vessel with the ability to launch fighter jets from four parts of the flight decks.
The world does not fully grasp China yet.
