The Special Branch Said Deepak Is Lying
So why don’t they? Why keep the impression going that further investigations are required when the French police have already done that and the Malaysian Special Branch has a copy of that investigation? And I should know since they sent me to Paris to obtain a copy of that French investigation report. And it was the Malaysian Special Branch who told me that Deepak and Bala are lying.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Deepak Jaikishan has finally come out of the closet to reveal what he has been allegedly hiding for the last 12 years, which is the truth behind the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder and the alleged links Najib Tun Razak and Rosmah Mansor have to that murder.
Deepak is suggesting that private investigator Perumal Balasubramanian knew the whole truth and that his (Deepak’s) job was to make Bala ‘disappear’ so that no one will find out what Bala knows. And Deepak did this by sending Bala to India.
Deepak says he was given a budget of RM20 million to keep Bala in India and to make sure he never returns to Malaysia. Bala, however, was paid only RM700,000 or so, after which the money stopped flowing to India.
The Special Branch said Deepak is lying through his teeth
That was when P.I. Bala’s lawyer got in touch with me for help and I managed to arrange financing for Bala from a source in Singapore. P.I. Bala received another RM500,000 or so, after which he decided to return to Malaysia to help campaign for Pakatan Rakyat in the 2013 general election — but died very soon after that in an ironic act of karma.
There have been many conflicting reports as to what represents the truth, and fact and fiction have been woven into a story made for a Hollywood movie script. But the truth is not as romantic as the myth being told and retold by those who are supposedly in the know.
First of all, the French police investigation revealed that Altantuya, Razak Baginda and/or Najib Razak never entered France from 1999 to 2006. In the 29th June 2012 news report by Malaysiakini, they say there are photographs of Altantuya in Paris.
Tian Chua admitted he fabricated this fake photo as a joke
In fact, Tian Chua even ‘revealed’ one photograph of Altantuya, Razak and Najib having dinner on top of the Eiffel Tower. Later, however, Tian Chua admitted that the photograph is a fake and was done just as a joke. Nevertheless, this ‘joke’ was taken as serious — and even though Tian Chua admitted the photograph is a fake until today many still believe it to be genuine.
The Malaysiakini 29th June 2012 news report also talks about the 2007 series of photographs that was revealed by Syed Abdul Rahman Al-Habshi, the honorary Mongolian consul-general in Malaysia then.
What Malaysiakini’s 29th June 2012 news report DID NOT say was, just before the Permatang Pauh by-election of 26th August 2008, Syed Abdul Rahman had declared in a statement carried by TV3 on the 8.00pm news that the allegations regarding Altantuya, Razak Baginda and Najib Razak were false. In fact, Syed Rahman even said ‘Raja Petra is a liar for linking Razak and Najib to the murder’.
On 29th June 2012, Malaysiakini did not report that in August 2008 Syed Abdul Rahman retracted his 2007 story regarding the Razak and Najib link to Altantuya’s murder
Why did Malaysiakini not report this in their 29th June 2012 news report? Why report what Syed Abdul Rahman said in 2007 but not report what he said contrary to that in 2008?
Malaysiakini’s 29th June 2012 news report was in response to The Star’s news report of 27th June 2012 (READ BELOW). And The Star’s news report was regarding my trip to Paris a few days before that.
Earlier that month I received a phone call from a Special Branch officer telling me that his Director wanted me to go to Paris to investigate the French police investigation that Suaram had initiated. The reason they wanted me to handle this investigation is because I was the one who had arranged and paid for P.I. Bala to travel to Paris for his statement to be recorded by the French police.
P.I. Bala came to London with his lawyers, after which I sent him to Paris for his statement to be recorded by the French police (notice Zaid Ibrahim in that photo)
So, I went to Paris with three other people and met up with my French contact. My French contact handed me a thick file comprising hundreds of pages and arranged for the report to be translated into English (which I had to pay for).
I then summarised the whole report and handed everything to the Special Branch. Until today, the Special Branch has not reimbursed me for the cost of that trip plus the translation I had to pay for.
What the French investigation revealed is that Bala’s recorded statement was full of inconsistencies and he was not telling the truth. That is why his recorded statement is not part of the final report.
According to the French police no one in DCNS had ever met Altantuya
The French investigation also revealed that no one from DCNS had ever met Altantuya. Hence the story that she was the translator for the submarine negotiations is false. Furthermore, the DCNS people all spoke perfect English while Altantuya did not speak French. So how could she do the translation work?
The French investigation further revealed that all the negotiations for the submarine contract were done in Malaysia, not in France. So that makes it even more illogical for a non-French speaking Altantuya and Razak to travel to France.
Ismail Omar was the IGP when I was asked to go to France and when he retired in 2013 he was appointed Malaysia’s Ambassador to France
The important thing is all the above and more were handed to the Malaysian Special Branch. The file consisted of hundreds of pages plus my summary report. All the Special Branch needs to do is to hand this detailed French investigation report to their counterparts in the CID.

French Police probe shows Altantuya was never in France
(The Star, 27 June 2012) – A French police investigation revealed that Altantuya Shaariibuu never entered France from 1999 to 2006, an Internet news portal said.
According to Free Malaysia Today (FMT), there was no immigration record of an “Altantuya Shaariibuu” entering France in that period.
This was revealed in confidential documents submitted to the French judicial inquiry, which is looking into alleged kickbacks in the Scorpene submarine deal between French manufacturer DCNS and the Malaysian Government.
The documents also revealed that DCNS officials told French police they had never met a person named Altantuya and did not know who she was in the course of their negotiations for the Scorpene deal.
He also alluded that he had not met or known Altantuya, who was reported to have been an interpreter.
FMT also said that Jasbir Singh Chahl, who was reported by Suaram as being the first Malaysian to be subpoenaed as a witness in the Scorpene case, told the French police that he had never met Altantuya and that she was not involved in the submarine negotiations.
Malaysiakini reported that in 2007, Hong Kong-based news portal Asia Sentinel published a series of photographs purportedly showing Altantuya in Paris.
However, it could not be ascertained when they were taken or if they were authentic.
Political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda was acquitted on Oct 31, 2008 of abetting two police officers in the murder of Altantuya.
Police officers C/Insp Azilah Hadri and Kpl Sirul Azhar Umar were sentenced to death by the High Court on April 9, 2009 for murdering her on Oct 19 and Oct 20, 2006.
